1- day IV Certification for CRT's,
1-day classroom. 8 hours of home study required prior to class. Theory is discipline specific.Classroom portion will consist of theory review, written exam on theory, techniques, and demonstration of supplies with the majority of the time spent refining clinical skills. Practice peripheral venipunctures on specialized mannequins. Check off doing 3 peripheral venipunctures on fellow students. The course meets california regulation #106985 for IV certification classes for CRT's.10 supervised IV insertions are required in clinical setting after class required to complete certification process. *Class completion certificate awarded by Nursing Transitions.
