1-day IV Techniques/Refresher Class - EMT's, RN's, Students, LVN's with current state certificate
1-day classroom. 8 hours of home study required prior to class. Theory is discipline specific.Classroom portion will consist of theory review, written exam on theory, techniques, and demonstration of supplies with the majority of the time spent refining clinical skills. Practice peripheral venipunctures.For RN's/students only - CVC management including acessing, flushing, dressing change and blood withdrawal from PICC tunneled CVC and Port-a-cath on specialized mannequins.
